Arizona Microcredit Initiative (AMI), a nonprofit organization whose members are all ASU undergraduates, strives to help local, underserved entrepreneurs start and run their businesses through development workshops, one-on-one consulting and microloans. With AMI assistance, La Gattara will pitch its plan to Venture Devils, a separate entrepreneurial program at ASU, for additional funding. The group has counted a cat cafe, teachers organization and West Valley vegan grocery store among its successes.
