Health students take on innovation and entrepreneurship

A new initiative from Arizona State University empowers students pursuing health-related degrees to think entrepreneurially. Health focused startups are nothing new to ASU students and faculty, but
many of the entrepreneurial spaces and programs have historically been housed on the Tempe campus, home of the business, engineering, and design schools. At the same time, many health-focused colleges are based at the Phoenix Downtown and West campuses.
Located in the heart of the City of Phoenix Innovation District, the ASU Health Entrepreneur Accelerator Lab (HEALab) is a trans-disciplinary program offered on the ASU Downtown and, more recently, on the West campus. The effort is a collaborative effort of the College of Nursing and Health Innovation, College of Health Solutions, New College and ASU’s Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (E+I).
