Located next to the Media and Immersive eXperience (MIX) Center, The Studios offers a shared space for ideas between local entrepreneurs, industry leaders and students.
The Studios host a variety of community events, training programs, workshops, seminars and mentorship pairings to support individual and group creative, entrepreneurial and business developments for the Mesa community.
About
Edson Entrepreneurship + Innovation Institute will operate the first floor of The Studios building, a multimillion dollar renovation of the former Mesa City Library. The building is meant to bring local entrepreneurs and business leaders together with students, in partnership with the City of Mesa.
The Studios is located in the heart of the City of Mesa’s emerging downtown Innovation District, envisioned as a hub for leading-edge institutions to connect with startups and business incubators to grow new ideas and products.
As a shared workspace, The Studios provides a central Mesa location for industry leaders, entrepreneurs, students and community members to network, collaborate and share their ideas. It also hosts entrepreneurial development training, technical skills training, ecosystem development events, workshops and lectures. Academic programs in the upcoming Immersive Media Experience Center add to the educational opportunities.
The Immersive Media Experience Center broke ground in January 2020 and represents a shared effort to reimagine Mesa’s future as a hub for digital and technical innovation and a cultural jewel.
A revolutionary concept that blends downtown revitalization efforts with world-class education in creative and technology-related fields, the center will serve as a laboratory for emerging technologies, a film production studio, a platform for game development and a driving force for entrepreneurial solutions, simultaneously serving Mesa’s goal to define a new identity as a vibrant downtown experience where all generations can live, work and play.
Reservation priority is given to events supporting entrepreneurial initiatives.

This 7,280 square foot space uses a hot-desk, hoteling model, providing a flexible workspace to adapt to your individual and your team’s needs, including:
- 34 open workstations; 20 with computer access all available on a first-come, first serve basis.
- Reservable conference room with a whiteboard and mobile audiovisual equipment (8-person capacity).
- Three booths and semi-private meeting areas.

Located on the first floor, this 125-person capacity event space offers 1,865 square feet of meeting space with furniture and audio-visual equipment, including:
- Two drop-down projector screens.
