Young entrepreneurs are invited to join a hands-on social entrepreneurship workshop to explore challenges facing their West Valley communities and develop innovative solutions.
The J. Orin Edson Entrepreneurship + Innovation Institute will be offering a Social Entrepreneurship workshop in the West Valley at Sunrise Mountain Library in north Peoria. Young entrepreneurs are invited to join a hands-on social entrepreneurship workshop to explore challenges facing their West Valley communities and develop innovative solutions. Participants will learn how social entrepreneurship harnesses market powers to create scalable and sustainable change. This principle will then be applied in groups as participants brainstorm ideas, iterate solutions, and present their results in a pitch. Participants will also learn about resources and pathways in their own community to start implementing their solutions.
This workshop is offered in collaboration with the Arizona Council of Economic Education and Peoria Forward, an innovative partnership between the City of Peoria and the J. Orin Edson Entrepreneurship + Innovation Institute at Arizona State University.
