The J. Orin Edson Entrepreneurship + Innovation Institute welcomes all of Mesa to the first floor of the Studios @ Mesa City Center. This event is part of the Grand Opening for the ASU Media and Immersive eXperience (MIX) happening Friday, October 28th and 29th.

Tour the community entrepreneurship collaboration and event space, while Mesa’s youngest Sun Devil explore hands-on entrepreneurship and innovation activities throughout the day, including:

  • Trick-or-Treating with local entrepreneurs
  • Explore the latest tech in AR and VR technology for local school
  • Show the many faces of entrepreneurship at our photo booth
  • Brainstorm “How we might make Halloween more sustainable?”
  • Contribute your creative skill to building a community Frankenstein to take on Mesa’s biggest challenges

In addition to these activities throughout the day; all innovators are invited to join these programs happening in our Community Room:

Entrepreneurship in Community Round Table

Having diverse representation of entrepreneurs is vital to the success of a community. We want to hear about your entrepreneurial journey and how taking risks allowed you to create success on your terms.

Open Pitch In

All Mesa community members are welcome to practice their “pitching” skills. Take 1 minute to answer the question, “how might we decrease the environmental impact of Halloween? Most innovative will win a $100 Gift Card from Downtown Mesa Association to small businesses in Downtown Mesa. The most creative ideas often come from our youngest innovators! Special prizes will be given to our young entrepreneurs. Sign-up will be available day of the event. Don’t want to pitch but are interested in attending? Attend as an audience member!

Creative / Artrepreneur Panel

Mesa artists are using their talents and passions and turning them into entrepreneurial ventures. Hear directly from a diversity of local leaders about how they have taken their artistic dreams to create an entrepreneurial venture.
