Peoria Forward has three types of events all designed to build connection between the — people, ideas and resources — elements of the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
New to entrepreneurship or just interested in exploring innovation? Welcome aboard the West Valley entrepreneurial ecosystem. Attend one of our upcoming free onboarding series sessions in your local library.
Peoria coming together to create real-world solutions and new resources for the entire entrepreneurial ecosystem. Catalyst Pilots are working sessions where a diverse group of community voices come together to see if they can create an actual program or pilot to test and iterate. Come with an open mind, ready to work!

1 Million Cups Phoenix - East + West Valley
9:00am - 10:00am | The 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the Month
1 Million Cups is open to everyone and invites those from every stage of their entrepreneurial journey to participate. Join this National program, led by local innovators. 1 Million Cups welcomes students, business leaders, founders, and more. Hear from founders, connect with resources. Explore what is happening across the Valley by listening to local founders share their ideas in a friendly 6-minute presentation format with 20 minutes of questions. In Fall 2020, the West Valley and East Valley community will be working together to capture the diversity of our community and serve as a welcome mat for everyone interested in entrepreneurship in Phoenix.
The meeting will be via Zoom through December; registration is required to gain access to the link. 1 Million Cups is always free to attend.

You Don't Need Code or Money to Build an App

Promineo Tech, an innovative provider of tech education, is offering a free, virtual workshop on No-Code web development through Peoria Forward, an innovative partnership with Arizona State University E+I and the City of Peoria. Attendees will learn how to create and launch web applications with no coding experience and for as little money as possible.
The workshop will consist of an overview and a working session in which attendees will have access to instructor assistance as they work on creating a knock-off of a popular application such as Shopify, LinkedIn, Airbnb, Uber Eats, and more! Exploring Peoria Entrepreneurship On-line Community Catalyst
ASU Edson E+I Peoria Forward, the City of Peoria and televëda have teamed up to provide Peoria residents with a one of a kind experience. Connect with local business owners, entrepreneurs, artists, and authors growing in Peoria. This program will utilize a custom, easy to access platform, with direct technical support so everyone in Peoria can safely participate and actively connect with their community and resources. Dynamic content includes trivia, sharing your story, conversation with real partners and the opportunity for every member of Peoria to support locally-owned businesses.

This event is part two of this series; if you are new to the Peoria ecosystem, part one is highly recommended!
There will be emails and material to review prior. It will be a highly interactive discussion to develop new ideas and pilot programs to advance the ecosystem. Peoria is already home to several resources committed to providing direct support of businesses. How do we create a culture that values entrepreneurs, fills the gaps in resources, starts something innovative!

Community Innovation Summit

Join Estrella Mountain Community College and ASU Entrepreneurship + Innovation in this full online experience to gain workforce skills and the opportunity to win fantastic prizes!
This action-packed FULL-day virtual meetup brings together the best creative minds at Estrella Mountain Community College to build real-life solutions during the COVID-19 pandemic. Community college students of all majors, backgrounds, and experiences will build community, practice entrepreneurial skills and gain tools needed in today's workforce.
Help make the West Valley into a safe, vibrant, innovative community you are proud to call home!
The week leading up to the event, students who register will receive emails, tools and video presentations by local organizations dealing with real challenges faced in our community. Participants can also submit problems they want to solve.
On Friday, November 20th, participants will create diverse work teams to develop real-life solutions and pitch their innovative ideas. Local mentors will be available to give feedback and ideas.
A panel of community leaders will select student groups to win scholarships and additional prizes.
