AOL founder picks Phoenix for startup bus tour, will invest $100,000 in local startup
AOL co-founder and former CEO Steve Case plans on investing $100,000 in a local startup as part of his “Rise of the Rest” bus tour stop in Phoenix on Oct. 7. Arizona State University President Michael Crow and many entrepreneurial groups across the city pushed for Phoenix to be included in the tour that aims to promote regional entrepreneurship. “…Attracting Rise of the Rest is a recognition of that mentality and is emblematic of the Valley’s entrepreneurial community pulling together to showcase its spirit, its smarts and its vision for creating what’s next. ASU is, of course, proud to play a part,” said Ji Mi Choi, ASU’s associate vice president of entrepreneurship and innovation.
