Virtual Venture Internship


Years ago, an being on-site and in-person would often be your only option for an internship experience. Now you can now cultivate your skills while helping a local organization grow as part of the Virtual Venture Internship hosted by the Edson Entrepreneurship + Innovation Institute. This is a for-credit, unpaid summer internship cohort experience that connects you with entrepreneurial organizations working to build their business. All work is virtual and projected-based.

Apply by April 14, 2023 to be considered for this seven-week summer experience.

During a Virtual Venture Internship, you will:

  • Reap the benefits of personal mentorship from industry professionals
  • Gain real-time insights into developing a company
  • Have opportunities to network with other ASU students curious about the diverse startup and entrepreneurship community
  • Complete meaningful projects and develop new skills
  • Be supported by faculty and staff advancing entrepreneurial initiatives as part of the W.P. Carey Center for Entrepreneurship and New Business Design and the ASU Edson E+I Institute.

Internships with the Virtual Venture Internship program are unpaid. Students receive academic credit for the program.

Eligibility requirements and application

To be eligible for the program you must be:

  • Currently enrolled as an ASU undergraduate student.
  • Willing to enroll in a 1-credit course (ENT 484) in Summer Session C. A pre-requisite for this course is to have completed a minimum of 45 credit hours.
  • Able to access reliable internet to fully participate in a virtual format.
  • Committed to dedicating at least 10 hours weekly to your internship experience, including a regular schedule during specific work hours if requested by your internship supervisor.

If you are an international student, you are responsible for receiving employment authorization prior to committing to this experience.
