In partnership with Verizon ASU has developed 198 lesson plans, which are freely available on Verizon Innovative Learning HQ, an open access platform for all learners. This free online education portal makes tech-powered learning and resources available to all K-12 educators nationwide.
Launched in August 2021, this site features content curated by Youth Entrepreneurship, other university partners, museums and the most trusted names in education. The curriculum we developed for Verizon Innovative Learning Labs is available to all educators through this site.
Classrooms can explore immersive AR and VR experiences paired with custom lesson plans that explore many subjects. The portal also includes professional development courses aligned to research-backed micro-credentials from non-profit Digital Promise to help empower educators with personalized learning pathways that directly address their digital learning needs.

The 198 lessons we developed for the Verizon Innovative Learning Lab program are available on the portal to all educators. While not every school is eligible for the lab program, teachers can still have access to innovative lesson plans and courses.
Once you create a free account, click on the “Lessons and apps” bar at the top of the screen, then click on “Lesson plans.” Once on the lessons page, click the “See all lessons” button. From here, you can click on “Author” and select “J. Orin Edson Entrepreneurship + Innovation Institute at Arizona State University.” This should filter all of our lessons as well as our courses.
Yes, these lessons are aligned with the Common Core State Standards, International Society for Technology in Education, National Content Standards for Entrepreneurship Education, and Next Generation Science Standards.
Yes, some lessons will require the use of technology. There is also a button for “Technologies involved” and “Subjects” to further filter content based on your teaching needs.
Most of the lessons provided by Youth Entrepreneurship are for middle school (sixth through eighth grade); however, the site has classes for all grade levels.
Yes! There are virtual and augmented reality apps that were developed by some of the most trusted names in education, as well as professional development modules that allow micro-credentials.
