TechShop - CLOSED
We are disappointed that TechShop unexpectedly closed its doors on Nov. 15, 2017. Arizona State University is working to secure space for its students to continue their class projects. ASU’s classroom and event spaces in Chandler will remain open. The University is actively working with its students to minimize disruption and is also working with the City of Chandler to develop solutions for community members affected by TechShop’s closing.
To further develop creativity and the entrepreneurial spirit in the communities we serve, we have joined with TechShop, a membership-based, do-it-yourself facility that provides the public with tools, equipment, training and a vibrant, supportive community of creative people. TechShop membership provides access to over $1 million dollars’ worth of advanced machines and tools, sophisticated 2-D and 3-D design software, and other professional equipment.
Both TechShop and ASU provide services in the ASU Chandler Innovation Center (ACIC), an engineering and technology-based education and research hub located in the heart of downtown Chandler. ACIC is used to host classes for ASU students and to host workshops and events for the community, while TechShop operates its TechShop Chandler facility in the space.
To inquire about the possibility of reserving space and/or hosting an event at the ACIC, please contact Annalisa Regalado. You may also submit your request here.
