Learn how to build a foundation of content sourcing, creation, and implementation that can help your business

About this event

One of the most utilized marketing channels for a venture is through the use of social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Twitter and others, but this channel is also one of the most misused and misunderstood. Planning, strategy and tactics all should play a key role at every level, otherwise you’re likely spinning your wheels. Learn how to build a foundation of content sourcing, creation and implementation that can help your business gain and keep traction with existing and potential audiences.

Session led by Vincent Orleck, Manager Digital Comms, ASU Knowledge Enterprise. In this role he manages and guides social media for multiple brands including the Edson E+I Institute, ASU Biodesign Institute and others. He’s also President of Social Media Club PHX, and manages digital/social media marketing efforts for the #yesPHX startup/entrepreneurial community and for PHX Startup Week annually.

Podcasts are booming and your venture's mission and purpose can be streaming into the ears of thousands! But what are the first steps to starting a podcast without making critical startup mistakes? Which equipment and software will you absolutely need to use from the start? What are the exact steps to getting your podcast listed on multiple syndication platforms? Successful podcasts aren't the ones who have the biggest audience, rather, they're the ones who are able to consistently deliver their message through their purpose of service. Professional radio broadcaster and podcaster, Shannon Hernandez, will discuss how podcasting is being used with ventures from all walks of life. He'll discuss the podcast startup process--from equipment to launch/syndication--and the secrets that every venture must know in order to facilitate growth and awareness. Plus, he'll reveal the #1 mistake every new podcaster makes when they launch their podcast. Zoom Link: https://asu.zoom.us/j/86798169872 Shannon Hernandez is a 20+ year radio veteran, podcaster and podcast producer. His work in the radio broadcasting industry has awarded him the knowledge and experience to bridge traditional media tactics and strategies with those of online content development and marketing. Shannon has developed an online compendium of free YouTube videos that focus on the topic of podcasting and podcast marketing. He currently holds down the weeknight time slot for 98 KUPD-FM and is the current sound design & editor for Guy Kawasaki's Remarkable People podcast.
