1 Million Cups is open to everyone and invites those from every stage of their entrepreneurial journey to participate. It is a community of innovators that welcomes students, business leaders, founders and more. Come hear from founders, connect with resources or just explore what is happening in the West Valley. The West Valley chapter of 1 Million Cups hopes to capture the diversity of our community and serve as a welcome mat for everyone interested in entrepreneurship in the West Valley. No registration or membership is required. This event happens weekly and is one of three 1 Million Cups communities across the Phoenix Metro Area.

This event happens weekly and is one of three 1 Million Cups communities across the Phoenix Metro Area.

Schools take a summer vacation; your business networking doesn’t have to! Join 1 Million Cups West Valley as we open our doors to everyone growing a business and a child. The same great 1 Million Cup format AND your children are welcome to join on-site under your supervision. We will have Little Cupper mini activities including coloring pages and opportunities to work on their entrepreneurial skills. We believe you can raise your child and build connections at the same time.

It is free to attend and will take place at our new summer location, CO-DO-BE Work Space in Surprise, every Wednesday in June and July, except for July 3rd, there will be no meeting due to the holiday.

Peoria is home to some of the most brilliant young people in the valley, eager to gain real-world skills and insight into the modern workforce. Business owners and entrepreneurs are struggling with finding the human capital to grow and take advantage of all the opportunity available in a global market. Can we rethink the labels and traditional models we use to find a modern solutions that meet everyone’s goals? Peoria is the flexible, innovative community to do it.  You are being asked to join, this invite-only intimate working session with a skilled facilitator who has worked with innovation and youth programming across the country. Using principles from Design Thinking, we will explore unique solutions and develop next steps to test those solutions in our community.

Who: All eligible ASU entrepreneurial faculty and graduate researchers are encouraged to register. Eligibility details may be found here: https://goo.gl/QcHffa
Why: ASU-affiliated I-Corps teams who complete the training may be eligible to receive a $2K grant for continued customer discovery efforts. High performing teams could be in a position to gain acceptance into the National I-Corps Program, which provides $50K+ grants for continued customer discovery efforts.
When: Five consecutive Thursdays, July 12- August 9; 9:00 am - 11:00 am, plus virtual office hours on Fridays.

What: Startup team culture issues are often cited as a top cause for early-stage venture failure. Get your culture right from the start, and set your venture up to scale for success. This bootcamp is led by Jennifer Coyne and Brian Stinson, ASU Venture Mentors and Co-Founders of The PEAK Fleet, a company focused on creating an engaged workforce that thrives together.
Who: All ASU Venture Devil founders and mentors, as well as all entrepreneurial ASU students and faculty are encouraged to register.
Why: You and your co-founders will learn how to create a values-based culture, develop a timeline for investing in organizational culture, and ultimately create a healthy and high-performing team. Plus, enjoy a FREE lunch with Jen, Brian, and your fellow ASU entrepreneurs.
