Come learn about Entrepreneurship + Innovation and get some free E+I swag at ASU Launch Days! This event is held at the beginning of each Spring and Fall semester. Launch Days consists of a tabling event on Wednesdays, followed by an Open Pitch event on Fridays, at each campus in February. Stop by the tabling event to learn more about E+I 's resources available to you and get more information about our Open Pitch event and how you can share your ideas for a chance to win $250! Don't forget to grab your free Just Start T-Shirt along with some other E+I goodies!

Who: All ASU-affiliated entrepreneurs are encouraged to register.
What: Join the City of Chandler and Arizona State University as we re-launch the makerspace at the ASU Chandler Innovation Center. The event will feature hands-on activities, showcase the resources available for existing and aspiring entrepreneurs and provide you with the opportunity to help us rename the facility. The best part of all? Those in attendance will have the opportunity to sign up for a free trial membership to the 'yet to be named' makerspace!

Location: ASU Polytechnic campus, Student Union, Changemaker Central

Who: All ASU-affiliated innovators are encouraged to attend.
What: A weekly series of open conversations - otherwise known as WWW=W3 (Working With Wayne) - that focus on how to take your ideas to the next stage(s) of development. Wayne Smith, an ASU Entrepreneurial Catalyst Senior, will share innovation resources available at ASU, such as Entrepreneurial Mindset approaches, Venture Devils startup methods, Business Model Canvas techniques, and other best practices. Each innovator is encouraged to attend as often as required to move their idea forward.
When: Every Wednesday; 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Date: February 21, 2019 - 2:00pm to 7:00pm
Location: Queen Creek Library, 21802 S Ellsworth Road, Queen Creek

Who: All ASU-affiliated entrepreneurs are encouraged to register.
What: Have you ever thought about starting your own business or learning about additional resources available to you in Queen Creek? At this workshop, we’ll cover a wide range of topics, from creating a business plan to doing a deep dive on data and demographics and sharing entrepreneur success stories. The workshop will be followed by networking with other entrepreneurs at Old Ellsworth Brewing Company, then a visit to Hacknight at nearby Gangplank at 22240 S. Ellsworth Road.

Who: All ASU-affiliated entrepreneurs are encouraged to register.
What: Learn how the right culture and right people combine to create successful companies. Format includes networking breakfast, expert panels, free assessment tools, and a powerful keynote on creating great company cultures.
When: Friday, February 22nd, 8:30am-12pm

What: Fifteen of the top student-led tech ventures from across the country will pitch in the www.winASU.io semi-finals. A group of ASU Innovation Open sponsor judges will identify the top 5 ventures. Each Finalist team will receive a $5K Zero Mass Water Award and be granted a bid to compete for $100K from Avnet, $25k from ON Semi, and other prizes, during the ASU Innovation Open Finals in February 2019. Additionally, Todd Davis, co-founder of LifeLock will deliver a keynote talk. LifeLock was acquired for $2.3B. There will also be a panel discussion featuring former ASUio contestants, and other regional startup leaders.

Who: All ASU-affiliated student, faculty, staff and alumni-led startup teams who are experimenting within the emerging market of artificial intelligence and voice technology.

What: The ASU Amazon Alexa Venture Challenge inspires and enables ASU-affiliated entrepreneurs to enhance their innovative products or services with voice. As conversational AI advances, we will increasingly interact with technology using voice. ASU innovators are encouraged to be in the vanguard of this evolution.

When: Requests for FREE Echo Dots will be reviewed on a rolling basis through Friday, December 7. The $10,000 seed grant funding will be awarded via the ASU Venture Devils Demo Days, which are held at the end of each fall and spring semester. Venture Devils applications are accepted and processed five times per year, coinciding with the Fall A+B, Spring A+B, and Summer C session start dates.

Compete for $10,000 in seed grant funding – Apply to Venture Devils: https://entrepreneurship.engineering.asu.edu/amazon-alexa-venture-challenge/ - Once you are accepted into Venture Devils, you will be invited to participate in the Pitch Playoffs each semester. The Pitch Playoffs serve as the bi-annual gating mechanism for the Amazon Alexa Venture Challenge funding track.
