Dr. Elissa Adame

DESCRIPTION: In this workshop, I will cover how small tweaks in talk can lead to big changes in our organizations. Specifically, I will talk about how the words we use during feedback sessions are important in cultivating hard working employees who value challenges and strive for constant improvement. This research has changed the way I speak to others, and has improved the quality of work I see from others. I am so excited to share this research and workshop with you.

BIO: Dr. Elissa Adame is an assistant research professor in the Hugh Downs School of Human Communication at Arizona State University. Dr. Adame studies leadership and organizational learning. Specifically, her research focuses on how a leader's small changes in messaging (e.g., feedback, stories) can lead to big organizational changes when the messages are linked and amplified over time.
