Develop your Fearless Financials for Startups: Register for this Fall B 2018 Training Series to Learn How
Who: This training series is designed for ASU-affiliated founders who have already won a monetary award/ investment of $5,000 or more. It is particularly suited for those who want to enter external pitch contests (e.g., Rice, Innovation Open, Venture Madness, etc.) or those who expect to look for external investment from angels or VCs in the next 12-18 months. This training is led by Stephanie Sims, ASU Venture Mentor and founder of Finance-Ability, which provides founders with the knowledge, tools and self-awareness to raise the right money for their business.
What: If you’re looking for big investment in your venture, you’ve got to have a credible economic model and an ask that makes sense - and know how to present them! In two intensive sessions, plus a “connecting the dots” session just before Demo Day (if eligible), you’ll build your own financial projection tool, a credible ask for your current pitch, and your confidence answering investor’s financial questions.
When: Two 6-hour Saturday sessions on 11/10 & 11/17, as well as a “Connecting the Dots” session on Tuesday, 11/27. Additionally, please note that the instructor will ask for pre-work to be completed and submitted via video prior to the first session. Plus, a private one hour review of each venture’s financial model is also included (must be reserved at least 48 hours in advance & the financial model must be sent to instructor at the time of reservation).
Where: Virtual - via online Zoom meetings. The two Saturday sessions may be held in-person, based on the preferences of the confirmed registrants.
