Aridity and the Desert: The Future of Innovation, Technology, and Humanity
This final 'Dinner and Dialogue' will look at the race to innovate and create the next best technology and the extent to which creation and innovation do not always center our individual and shared humanity. We will explore these questions: Why and how are science and technology presumed neutral and disconnected from identity politics? Who Innovates? Who's left behind? Who benefits?
Please note that major objective of this funded opportunity is to identify common ground among diverse individuals politically, ethnically, generationally, culturally, etc. For this reason, registration for this event and this series will not be first come, first serve, but rather based off registration profiles.
Applicants will be confirmed for the program by April 1, 2018.
