Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U)
Have an Idea to Change the World?
Each year, CGI U hosts a meeting where students, university representatives, topic experts and celebrities come together to discuss and develop innovative solutions to pressing global challenges. Students create their own Commitments to Action that address issues on campus, in local communities or around the world. Since 2008, students have made more than 6,250 commitments, and nearly $3 million in funding has been awarded to these commitment-makers through CGI U.
CGI U 2018 will be hosted at the University of Chicago, October 19-21, 2018. The application is now open.
Information sessions with the opportunity to hear directly from a past CGI U attendee and current ASU student will occur in Spring. More details regarding these sessions will be provided soon, and CGI U also directly hosts informational webinars beginning in February. More details about these sessions are available online.
CGI U Commitments to Action

The five focus areas for Commitments to Action are: education, environment and climate change, poverty alleviation, peace and human rights, and public health.
