Mohamed Abdalla

"Moe" is the student business owner of a specialty coffee shop with memorable global flavors traced to his homeland. However, it was ASU's Edson Student Entrepreneurship Initiative program that gave him his first taste of business ownership.

SkyCafe is the host coffee shop and catering company for businesses at ASU's SkySong Innovation Center and features ethnic teas, coffees and specialty foods from around the globe. However, Mohammed is also a social entrepreneur, having organized a venture called "Business for Doctors" in Tanzania, collaborating with African rural based businesses to bring doctors into the community to provide medical treatment for village orphans. As SkyCafe continues to serve patrons at ASU's SkySong Innovation Center, Mohamed continues to serve the healthcare needs of orphans in East Africa by donating a share of his proceeds to the efforts of "Business for Doctors".
