Entrepreneurship faculty at ASU collaborate across disciplines to lead technology transfer and intellectual property practices.

ASU faculty members from law, business, engineering and science have developed a technology transfer team called Technology Ventures Services Group (TVSG). This cross-disciplinary program gives students an opportunity to participate in patent investigation, business modeling, deal structuring and market assessment and research. TVSG also collaborates with Arizona Technology Enterprises to bring Arizona State University’s scientific discoveries to market and to involve students intellectual property commercialization.

This coursework provides real world experience and business strategy for students interested in technology venturing. They gain first-hand knowledge of how to bring new ideas to market by actually going though the process.

ASU faculty and staff from across disciplines are teaching courses related to entrepreneurship and innovation that provide students with the opportunity to use knowledge of their discipline to advance entrepreneurship and innovation. Through these programs, ASU students increase their influence on the community and confidence in their entrepreneurial and innovative skills.

In any field, the principles of entrepreneurship take the form of advocacy: pleading for supporting an idea or position, providing active support for an idea or action; for making a case and for taking action.
